This position is responsible for general repair and preventative maintenance of the plant instrumentation and electrical equipment. Responsibilities: Maintain department and plant safety performance. Perform emergency, repair, and preventative maintenance of plant instrumentation as required. Conform to federal, state, corporate, and plant environmental standards. Plan and schedule his/her own work list by coordinating and communicating with other technicians. Enter completed Work Orders in the SAP system. Read blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics. Utilize test equipment to calibrate plant instrumentation. Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and pneumatic instrument loops. Maintain instrument and electrical filing system, both electronic and paper systems. Accept call-ins, weekend duty according to the schedule and overtime as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Minimum 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electrical work. Instrumentation and equipment troubleshooting. Strong personal safety philosophy. Experience with Siemens (Honeywell/Delta V are other control systems) is preferred. 480V knowledge is required. Strong troubleshooting skills required. Must be able to follow procedures accurately. Must be team oriented and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills. Flexibility and adaptable to changing situations required. Comply with all Evonik, state, and federal regulations. Support basic safety process and maintain all required training. Climb ladders/steps. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
