The Engineering Technician needs to maintain manufacturing lines safely and efficiently producing quality products . This role will interact with many cross functional teams and will require flexibility to support Engineering, Quality, New product launch, EHS.
Being the first contact point for production problems related such as Process / testing / MES (Manufacturing Execution System) issues to evaluate necessary changes to the line, support quick fixes to keep line running and to improve line reliability.
Your new tasks Provide preventive maintenance to the production equipment's Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams, improving, and writing manufacturing instructions. Manage workload with a flexible and positive attitude to proactively help co-workers and cross functional teams. Provide daily coverage of production line processes to ensure effective operations. Rapid response to out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve product yield. Collect and analyze data under the direction of Process/Test Engineers. Maintain tooling and fixtures Support trial builds and new process in conjunction with the Process/Test Engineer and cross functional team. Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Enforce all safety procedures and requirements. Root cause analysis
Your skills Basic ability to interpret and analyze Statistical Process Control Proficiency in SMT manufacturing equipment's and processes. Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics. Experience working in manufacturing plant environment , preferably electronics manufacturing. Problem solving methodology Electronic background or similar desirable.
