Department: Sterile Processing Schedule: Full-time Evening - Monday - Friday 3p-11:30p Facility: St. Agnes - Ascension Location: Baltimore, MD Salary: $21.22 - $29.58 per hour IAHCSMM or CBSPD required Benefits: Paid time off (PTO), various health insurance options & wellness plans, retirement benefits including employer match plans, long-term & short-term disability, employee assistance programs (EAP), parental leave & adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, ways to give back to your community Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Inspect, assemble and evaluate surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure proper sterilization, completeness of set, and determine need for repair/replacement. Perform decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols. Inspect instruments, equipment and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning. Correct instrument sets according to current standards and established count sheets and/or instrument tracking systems. Maintain proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts. Assist with staff training on sterile principals and the decontamination processes. Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration: One or more of the following: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Required Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Required Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
