Collections Coordinator
The Collections Coordinator is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This position is required to be onsite at AccuWeather's State College, PA Headquarters. Responsibilities: Review open accounts for collection efforts. Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations. Resolve client-billing problems and avoids accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner. Monitor customer payments in accordance with payment due dates. Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management. Customer Payment/ Account reconciliation, when necessary. Process and analyze all applicable collection reports. Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements. Send correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts. Collaborate with internal staff regarding future involvement with delinquent client. Draft Collection Letters to initiate 3 rd
Party Collection attempts, when necessary. Communicate and collaborate with 3 rd
Party Collection Agency regarding outstanding accounts. Prepares Accounts Receivable/Collections presentation for reporting to management. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position will have an Associates Degree in Business Administration/Finance or 2 years of experience in a Collections role. Strong verbal and written communications, problem solving, and analytical skills required. Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy. Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
