The Strategic Advisory And Financial Analyst

Financial Information Center (FIC) is an integral part of Latham's Financial Analysis team. This role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support for the firm by monitoring and addressing requests sent to FIC and responding to other ad hoc requests from partners and management, as well as working in a team environment to complete ad hoc financial analysis, reports, and special projects related to client statistics and firm financial metrics. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Other key responsibilities include: Utilizing analytical skills, expert knowledge of business economics, finance, and accounting, as well as financial systems and business intelligence tools to obtain data, organize the information, and build reports to facilitate effective analysis Accurately interpreting requests for analysis and reporting to produce appropriate and correct final work product Effectively communicating work product to colleagues across the firm through e-mail, phone, video conference, and in-person presentations, as well as answering questions that may arise regarding the data and/or analytical methods and assumptions used to build the work product Making recommendations to streamline workflow and process within the organization and utilizing new technologies to automate tasks and reporting Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information employed while performing analytical tasks Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We'd love to hear from you if you: Display excellent leadership skills in organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making Possess the ability to lead large, long-term, and complex projects from inception to completion Demonstrate the ability to develop alternative solutions to meet goals And have: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field A minimum of one (1) year of related analytical experience in finance or accounting Experience at a professional services organization, preferably Experience working on ad hoc requests and projects in a fast-paced environment, preferably Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
