Your role and responsibilities include supporting the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division at our Manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. You will be mainly accountable for: Overseeing in-process and final inspections of PDUs, STSs, and UPS products, ensuring they meet established quality criteria. Developing and maintaining Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates. Monitoring and analyzing First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency. Coordinating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO), ensuring all requirements are met and issues are promptly addressed. Conducting audit testing of products in accordance with UL and catalog specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining the highest quality levels. Performing COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, implementing initiatives that reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance overall profitability. Qualifications for the role include: Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment. Comprehensive hands-on experience with transformers, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Static Transfer Switches (STSs), and/or Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) highly preferred. Proficient in testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating electrical distribution and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Proficient with quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC and/or 8D Root cause analysis. Highly skilled in the use of critical electrical test equipment, including power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers, ensuring precise and accurate testing and diagnostics.
