Collections Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team in a hybrid capacity. This role requires an individual who is proactive and skilled at managing collection efforts in a professional setting. You will collaborate with various departments and offer essential support to ensure efficient collection processes. Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Billing Attorneys to facilitate collection initiatives. Initiate client contact for payment collection as instructed by Billing Attorneys. Review accounts receivable to identify and follow up on overdue invoices. Coordinate with Billing Attorneys to provide collection support for aged invoices. Send payment reminders and replicate invoices when necessary. Draft and dispatch collection letters with the agreement of Billing Attorneys. Execute accounts receivable write-offs upon approval. Monitor e-billing platforms to assess invoice status and manage rejections efficiently. Evaluate invoice deductions and develop procedures to reduce future occurrences. Maintain detailed spreadsheets for aged and appealed items, including deadlines. Work collaboratively with Partners, Chief Operating Officer, and various departments. Handle ad hoc requests and participate in special projects as required. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 3 years experience in collections. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is advantageous. Familiarity with Aderant and e-billing platforms is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Professional Attributes:
