We are seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you play a pivotal role in developing applications that harness the advanced functionalities of Salesforce by providing complex configuration of native functionality, integrated add-ons, and related tools. You will ensure the production of efficient, stable, maintainable, manageable, and secure declarative applications. The applications require deep and thorough understanding not only of the techniques and processes related to the tool, but also of standard application development practices of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and processes. You will be responsible for developing applications that enable business to take advantage of advanced functionalities available in Salesforce and will be responsible for researching other 3rd party tools, evaluating suitability for integration with Salesforce, and implementing solutions to improve Salesforce native functionality.

Additionally, you will be a key player for understanding business problems, designing, developing, configuring, testing, and deploying software to provide solutions. You will write code to produce applications that provide measurable business value by using Agile techniques and working in collaboration with the larger, cross-functional team. You will be responsible for learning new languages/technologies and staying on top of the technology wave. As a Salesforce Developer, you will work closely with Architects, Salesforce Administrators, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and other key stakeholders to deliver Salesforce applications that address documented business requirements that operate within design specifications. You will build applications in accordance with Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) Software Development Life Cycle and follow standard application development best practices. You will be an expert by maintaining and building competency by taking the role in identifying elements of highly complex and large-scale projects and are expected to provide senior-level participation and support of peer code reviews, technical walk troughs, cross-training, mentorship and other knowledge transfer activities.

Position requires a minimum of five(5) years of experience as an IT application developer and/or software engineer.

Experience must include:

Ability to manage extensive application development portfolio with multiple projects at various stages of design, development, implementation or production. Extensive technical knowledge of Salesforce Development using Apex, Aura framework, Lightning framework, Web Services, Visualforce, HTML, JavaScript, and/or CSS. The methods and techniques of systems analysis and design. The Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding amongst all parties. Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving. A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with OmniStudio. Experience with Flow development. Development experience with Apex, Aura framework, and Visualforce. Experience developing and maintaining application programming interfaces (API's). Ability to organize, plan, monitor, and coordinate multiple and complex activities while operating within technical and business requirements. Ability to mentor and lead other junior technical developers to design, build and implement technical solutions for various business needs.
