Senior Business Data Analyst
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Senior Business Data Analyst. The analyst is responsible for building interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g. data dashboards); researching, designing and testing algorithms and programs; refining tools based on feedback, and ensuring continuity of accuracy and functionality. The analyst will assist in a variety of institutional research activities such as writing program code and mining data, analyzing institutional data for internal planning, conducting external accountability reporting, assisting with survey design, and providing statistical and technical support. This position is based at our Dandini campus in Reno, NV and requires in-person presence. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree and two years of related professional experience OR Associates degree and four years of related professional experience 2. Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting using query-writing, statistical software applications and/or data visualization software. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) 2. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL 3. Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R, etc.) 4. Knowledge of higher education terminology, metrics and reporting requirements Responsibilities: Assist with required federal, state, and system office reporting, collecting and formatting data, calculating metrics, and creating deliverables in the form of uploadable files and/or documents. Assist with large- and small-scale projects so that reporting requirements and deadlines are met. Analyze and provide data that is used for funding the College. Provide data and analyses for enrollment used for planning for the College academics. Create data visualizations for reporting, planning, and program evaluation, developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, query databases, and match and merge datasets. Write SPSS, R, and SQL code, determining the best method of data display and function of dashboards. Assist with future data projects and initiatives, such as AI related project development, to interface with IR and student datasets. Respond to requests from campus constituents and others to provide data analysis, metrics, and evaluation for special programs. Create contact lists for disseminating information to specific students/areas of the college. Assist with survey design and other duties as assigned. Report in-person at the Dandini campus with occasional conference travel for professional development. Salary and Benefits Information: Salary:
