Job Title
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Plating Technician IV to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plating and other post-finishing equipment to apply surface finishing processes to parts and components. This role ensures all products meet required quality standards and production targets. Key Responsibilities:
Operate automated or manual plating line equipment for electroplating and electroless immersion conversion coatings processes, as well as burnishing equipment Load and unload parts for processing Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications Maintain accurate production records Perform routine checks of barrel cathodes Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control protocols Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality assurance personnel, wastewater treatment operators, and maintenance teams Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in a manufacturing or plating environment preferred Basic understanding of chemical handling and plating techniques Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety data sheets, and part travelers Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, exposure to humidity and heat) Willingness to work overtime or rotating shifts, if required Eagerness to train and learn from highly qualified and experienced personnel Computer, writing, reading, math skills Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator drivers license for power driven vehicles Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, humid, or wet environments Frequent standing, bending, and reaching Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) - glasses, gloves, and hearing protection Why Join Us: Opportunities for training and advancement Stable, growing company with a commitment to safety and innovation Supportive and team-oriented work environment
