Position: Furnace Deck Operator Company: UTC Aerospace Location: 11120 S Norwalk Blvd Santa Fe Springs CA USA 90670 Schedule: 4on 4off rotation shift. 7AM-7PM for the first 2 of the 4 days 7PM-7AM for the second 2 of the 4 days Pay Rate: $16/HR Work Schedule: Rotational 4/12 work shift/ Amount of Potential Overtime: 4 hours per workday (8 hrs regular + 4 hours OT) FAA REQUIREMENT Job Description: To provide process integrity and maintain process quality for all furnace process operations. Act as a team member with fellow employees to maintain a constant, steady flow of quality parts. Assemble, load and unload basic furnace runs Segregate, weigh and label parts Conduct equipment checks, perform furnace control and take process readings on furnaces Clean furnaces and hardware Perform furnace pump down and leak rate functions including investigation of leaks Compliance with EH&S procedures and completion of EH&S documentation related to furnace deck production Handling of hazardous materials. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications/Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED is required 1 yr of related or similar work experience in a manufacturing environment Able to work on rotational 4/12 work schedule Strong work ethic and motivation Able to solve problems with some guidance Work with some supervision; able to follow verbal and written instructions Basic math skills Good written and oral communication skills Computer skills with potential to run furnaces utilizing DCS system Good organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical background, process control. This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires entry into FAA drug pool. All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug test and as an employee take part in random drug tests, as required, each quarter. IMPORTANT NOTE - MUST VERIFY THAT ALL CANDIDATES: Have met the min. qualification requirements stated in the requisitions (e.g. education and experience/skills) Be authorized to work in the U.S. without any sponsorship Be a U.S. Person under ITAR requirement (e.g. US Citizen, US Permanent Resident)
