Senior Platform Engineer
Breezy HR is a remote-first, profitable hiring platform built for small and mid-sized businesses. Thousands of teams trust us to streamline recruiting from first touch to signed offer, and we're passionate about delivering a fast, delightful experience for every candidate and every hiring manager. We're hiring a Senior Platform Engineer with deep, senior-level infrastructure experience who also enjoys writing and shipping customer-facing code
about a 65% DevOps/Platform, 35% product-code split. We're modernizing our platform for faster releases, stronger reliability, and tighter security. Our small, senior team needs an engineer who can keep CI/CD humming, maintain and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure, own observability, and jump onto product work so the platform stays battle-tested and our devs stay unblocked. Key responsibilities (? 65% platform / 35% product): Own CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, ensuring fast, reliable deployments and simple rollbacks. Maintain & evolve our AWS infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CDK, continually improving security, cost efficiency, and compliance (least-privilege IAM, secrets management). Run observability
logs, metrics, traces, dashboards
and lead incident response for production issues. Embed with product engineers to deliver customer features or performance fixes (Node.js / React). Cross-train teammates through pairing and concise documentation so knowledge never bottlenecks. Participate in a shared on-call rotation (? 1 week in 6) for production infrastructure. What we're looking for: 5+ years total engineering experience; 3+ years building cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, etc.) on AWS. Proven ownership of CI/CD for multi-service SaaS products. Production-grade coding skills in at least one language
ability to deliver a small API, CLI, or internal UI end-to-end. Hands-on with containers & orchestration (ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker Compose) and at least one observability stack (Grafana, Datadog, Honeycomb, New Relic). Working knowledge of security best practices (TLS everywhere, least-privilege IAM, secrets management) and basic compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR). Strong communicator able to explain infrastructure trade-offs to engineers, PMs, and architects. Bonus points: Implemented GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) or blue/green & canary release patterns. Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or high-scale message queues. Mentored DevOps engineers or led a platform guild. What we offer: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. PTO
15 days in year 1, rising to 21 days in year 2. MacBook Pro and all necessary accessories.
