Create new exercise programs and interests in consultation with the Community Life Administrator and Community Life Leadership Team. Conduct new resident orientation for exercise opportunities; spa, pool and fitness equipment. Instruct residents with how to use fitness room equipment. Develop and implement program options such as; walking club, fitness month, seasonal and special event programming, fall prevention and Club Unity. Responsible for relevant accounts within Activity Department budget to meet budget expectations and billing through POS system. Promote personal training for residents by customizing their routine to help residents reach their highest potential. Attend assigned staff meetings and other appropriate meetings. Research and recommend the purchase of new equipment for pool area and land-exercise classes as it benefits residents. Recommend necessary improvements or repairs. Monitor first-aid kits monthly; replenish as necessary. Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate fitness staff. Design, coordinate and implement wellness related activities on campus; exercise, relaxation walking programs. Ongoing tracking and evaluation of wellness and fitness programs & classes Maintain and stay current with certification in water, rescue and exercise programs Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in a Fitness Center type environment and work with seniors is preferred. Must have a Personal Trainer Certification, Aquatic Exercise Certification, current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, current CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to attain. Prefer candidate with Water Safety Instructor Certification. Extensive contact with residents, visitors and staff. Standing, exercising and walking most of the day. Must be able to assist residents in and out of the water. Must be able to perform all the duties of a professional lifeguard. About Us:
