that are catalysts for change in the health care industry. This position is responsible for strategizing, planning, and implementing overall communications efforts for health care transformation. This position requires a skilled communicator and leader able to develop and manage Communications team members, as well as work successfully with a variety of stakeholder groups both external and internal. Success in this position requires embracing the entrepreneurial spirit by proactively seeking innovative solutions, adapting to changing circumstances, and taking ownership of challenges to drive growth in a fast-moving startup setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategizing, planning, and implementing earned, owned, and paid media to establish national reach and reputation for health care initiatives. Developing and managing annual Communications Plans covering PR, Marketing, Content, Creative, and Digital resources. Developing and implementing consistent and effective institutional messaging. Directing message platforms and communication channel strategies for internal, external, and executive communications. Securing local, regional, and national media coverage for key initiatives. Collaborate closely with communication teams throughout Alice L. Walton's ecosystem to align messaging and strategies. Evaluating and reporting on the reach and impact of communications efforts through ongoing assessments and reporting. Supporting crisis communications plans and handling crisis and emergency communications as needed. Developing an annual budget and associated resources. Securing and managing resources, such as agency partners, media management software, and other essential tools. Overseeing the development and management of digital platforms and assets. Directing media relations efforts and serving as spokesperson and/or media relations liaison as necessary. Managing brands and graphic identity, and overseeing the production of all collateral materials, digital properties, advertising, and promotional programs. Managing, monitoring, and assessing internal institutional messaging and appropriate vehicles to ensure internal audiences understand and have access to available channels of communication. Provide oversight and leadership to the team members within AWE's Communications team. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a similar field. Minimum of five years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing; experience in communications related to health and well-being preferred. Exemplary written, verbal, and listening communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Effective interpersonal skills as well as group interaction and leadership. Ability to inspire and creatively engage internal and external audiences. Ability to work independently and effectively; self-directed. Ability to create and successfully manage an annual budget. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential for success. Demonstrated organizational planning, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment Work is performed full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and telephones. This role requires working in an open setting near colleagues. The noise level is typically low to moderate. The role also requires regular interaction with both the public and internal team members in a professional and courteous manner. Some local travel will be required, and a flexible schedule may be necessary to accommodate business needs, including occasional evening and weekend work hours.
