for more information on our employee benefits! POSITION SUMMARY Calling all Transportation Extraordinaires! If you have your CDL with passenger endorsement (or are willing to obtain) and excel at teaching others, this is the position for you! This position will qualify for a $1000 bonus paid in two parts, $500 as a sign bonus and $500 upon completion of the season in good standing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for adherence to DOT regulations related to 25 & 33 passenger vans Responsible for supervision of fleet of 33 & 25 passenger vans and other vehicles used for guest transportation from parking lots to base area Staff supervision including hiring, discipline and termination Responsible for safety training of staff Responsible for guest service within the transportation program Responsible for interaction with vehicle maintenance Supervise snow removal and ice build-up prevention around in and around parking lots Oversee litter control in the vans and parking areas Problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers Be a consistent role model for the company's Service Excellence Standards Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of previous work history/education required Previous supervisory experience required Submit to physical exam and urinalysis per DOT regulations Maintain a professional well-groomed appearance Must have good interpersonal skills and enjoy people Provide positive, constructive leadership and direction of the parking and shuttle staff. Communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest friendly manner Report to work timely at 6:00 AM, dressed and prepared for your daily assignment. Expected to operate company vehicles including shuttle buses, 4wheelers, rangers, and pickup trucks in varying weather conditions Expected to work complete shift outdoors, often in extreme weather conditions Must remain standing for extended periods of time in one outdoor location often in extreme weather conditions Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Must have valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record) EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Must have High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be able to acquire a Colorado CDL license Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current driver's license; a successful motor vehicle record background check is required Must be able to speak, read, and write legibly the English language The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits. Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $24.00- $26.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 21 years of age Must bend and lift 50 lbs. (box of ice melt); move and load multiple numbers of skis Expected to drive vehicles for extended periods of time often inclement weather conditions Move and load/unload multiple numbers of skis The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
