Job Opportunity At Rayburn Correctional Center
The State of Louisiana is offering a position at Rayburn Correctional Center in Angie, LA. The position has a special entrance rate of $19.88 per hour, with premium pay ranging from $2.00 to $5.00 per hour based on years of service with the Department of Corrections (DOC), in addition to regular pay. This role involves providing individual and group therapy in compliance with established treatment plans, facilitating specialized groups to assist offenders in making realistic discharge plans, and identifying and exploring available resources and necessary skills for re-entry into society. The position also requires interviewing offenders to develop a thorough bio-psycho-social assessment, maintaining appropriate documentation in inmate medical records, and assessing the potential for self-mutilation or injury, suicide, and ordering appropriate management instructions. Three key skills for this role include: attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, the ability to enforce the policies and procedures of the Department of Corrections and Rayburn Correctional Center, and the ability to provide mental health services in a strict environment. Minimum qualifications include possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW), along with a masters degree in social work.
