General Summary: Department: System Float (System Staffing Office) Schedule: PRN, Minimum 36 hours a month, Night shifts available (May work 8 or 12 hour shifts) Hospital: Multiple. See below. Must travel to all six hospitals in the system: Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center in Madison Heights Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren Henry Ford River District Hospital in East China Henry Ford Providence Hospital, Novi Campus in Novi Henry Ford Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus in Southfield Job Responsibilities: Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. Aid with movement and placement of patients. Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records. Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment. Education/Experience Required: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Certification/Licenses Required: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.
