System Administrator

Our client is looking for a System Administrator to join their team for a six (6) month contract. In this role the System Administrator will play a vital role in sustaining and advancing the technology infrastructure across departments. Responsibilities:

Oversee the full lifecycle management of workstations through SCCM/ECM, including software deployment, patch management, and regular updates. Analyze, identify, and address operational gaps and challenges within SCCM/ECM, providing concrete recommendations and implementing solutions such as configuration updates, topology modifications, and integration of additional tools. Administer and support core Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Server OS, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Windows Server Update Service (SCCM), PowerShell scripting, and PKI. Manage and secure identity and access management platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and municipal policies. Provide expert administration and support for VMware vSphere infrastructure and storage solutions, including Pure Flash Array and SAN environments. Administer cloud services for agency operations, including Microsoft 365 and Amazon Web Services. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Citrix technologies, including XenApp and NetScaler, across enterprise environments. Support, automate, and manage a variety of Linux distributions (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible). Document all configuration and infrastructure changes, processes, and standards for auditability and cross-team collaboration. Collaborate closely with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless municipal IT service delivery. Qualifications:

At least six (6) years of professional experience as a System Administrator, specifically managing large, multifaceted environments. Significant hands-on experience with SCCM/ECM, focusing on workstation lifecycle management, including deployment of patches, updates, and software distribution. Demonstrated ability to identify and remediate issues and gaps within the SCCM/ECM environment, including proposing and implementing improvements (e.g., configuration updates, topology changes, new tool integrations). Proficient in:

Microsoft Server OS, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, Windows Server Update Service (SCCM), PKI VMware vSphere infrastructure, Pure Flash Array, Citrix XenApp, Citrix NetScaler Linux administration (Red Hat, Oracle Linux), SAN administration Microsoft 365 Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ansible
