Student Assistant - Digital Communications/Social Media

The Student Assistant - Digital Communications/Social Media works with the OnRamps Communications and Marketing team. This role may include developing, coordinating, scheduling, writing or editing content for a range of formats, including social media, email newsletters, marketing collateral, slide presentations and various online platforms used by OnRamps students and partners. Also provides support with performance metrics, data tracking and analysis, and reviewing content for adherence to accessibility guidelines. Exercise your creativity and contribute to the OnRamps digital communications strategy while sharing our story with students, teachers and educational administrators across Texas. Coordinates and produces content in adherence with OnRamps brand guidelines and content accessibility guidelines. Monitors audience engagement and trending topics to identify high-performing content, and conduct data analysis and reporting, which may include researching, compiling data in spreadsheets or databases, and producing reports. Supports the team with content coordination, logistics, tracking reviews, file management and archiving, and day-to-day operations for current marketing initiatives and special projects. Collaborates across teams to create compelling assets that adhere to OnRamps brand guidelines and communicate our mission to a range of audiences, including students, teachers and administrators. Completes administrative/project management tasks. Pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a similar related field. Strong or developing knowledge of social media platforms and best practices. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or similar applications. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work with moderate independence. Ability to collaborate within a group environment. $12.00 - $14.50 hourly May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
