The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. We are hiring multi-level Engineers in Huntsville, Alabama!! Some of these exciting Ground Missile Defense Engineer Roles include: Systems Engineer Software Engineer Software Developer DevSecOps Engineer An ACTIVE U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance is required for all roles. Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline Minimum of two (2) years relevant engineering experience. Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills
Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline C, C++, Java, Python, Ada, GoLang, Cython, Bash, Javascript, SQL, Mongo DB Recent GMD GS/GWS model development Working in an Agile environment Developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub Windows/Unix OS environment experience Developing software in Object Oriented programing language Software development for embedded systems Writing/reviewing code in Ada, C++, Java & Python Review & verification of system level software requirements Security+ Certification or higher Cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Kubernetes Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Software test execution Microsoft Office Tools Reading & understanding of technical data Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong technical writing and oral communication skills. Able to work independently or as a member of a team Good interpersonal skills This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
