Ground Missile Defense Systems Engineer

The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline, Minimum of two (2) years relevant engineering experience, Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills: Master's degree in STEM field, Experience in any of the following areas: C, C++, Java, Python, Ada, GoLang, Python, SQL, Mongo DB, Recent GMD GS/GWS model development, Working in an Agile environment, Developing code in a Dev Ops environment using Bitbucket or GitHub, Linux Operating System, i.e. RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Developing software in Object Oriented programing language, Software development for embedded systems, Writing code Ada, C++ & Python, Review & verification of system level software requirements, MBSE, DOORS, Jira/Confluence, Kubernetes, Cameo, Linux Operating System, i.e. RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Software integration & test execution, Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Strong technical writing and oral communication skills, Able to work independently or as a member of a team, Good interpersonal skills This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
