POSITION SUMMARY The Carpenter II position must have at least 2 years in the general carpentry with skills including framing, finishing and form, helpful. Must have a valid driver's license and provide own set of hand and some power tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Under general supervision, performs the full range of carpenter duties in construction and building maintenance Other duties to perform are, rough and finished carpentry work in the repair and construction of buildings, sheds, decks and other items Measure materials or distances as assigned, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work Assemble and fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure, using bolts, nails, or screws Must be able to provide own set of hand and some power tools (tool belt, hammer, power saws etc.) Clean work site of any tools, debris and equipment Must follow all standard safety regulations while completing tasks Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 to 3 years' experience in the field of carpentry Carpentry skills including framing, and finish experiences, form helpful Good understanding of construction plans Additional trade experience, helpful Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies Must have valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED equivalent The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits. Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: Starting range at $20.00 - $27.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Must be able to stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in an ever-changing construction environment, often in inclement weather Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. Must be able to read and write and communicate verbally in the English language Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standards The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
