Essential Duties: Responsible for setting short-term and long-term strategy for assigned segments. Oversees contact negotiations, supplier selection, and management of goods and services. Ensures supply continuity for our operations to include a focus on lead time reduction and on time delivery. Develop strategic segment playbooks that exceed short- and long-term operational targets. Establish procedures to mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and supplier reliability. Direct, mentor, and develop a procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set performance goals and monitor KPIs to include productivity, supplier performance, and operational support. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, quality standards, and reliable delivery. Evaluate supplier performance through supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews. Identify and implement a pipeline of continuous cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational needs. Responsible for analyzing market and macro trends, forecast demand, and leveraging data to inform purchasing decisions and reduce total cost of ownership. Partner with cross functional departments including finance, operations, and legal to align procurement activities with business strategies. Drive the adoption of procurement tools, systems, and best practices to enhance efficiency and data transparency. Monitor and report on procurement metrics to senior leadership on a monthly basis. Provide support for successful new center launches including preferred supplier selection. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms, provide guidance and training to the team on negotiation best practices, and ensure consistent and effective contract outcomes. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must possess deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. Proficiency in developing and implementing segment or category specific sourcing strategies to optimize spend and supplier performance. Ability to interpret financial data and perform cost benefit analysis. Expert skill in translating complex data into actionable procurement plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate strategies, negotiate terms, and present insights to executive leadership. Education, Experience, and Other Requirements: 10+ years progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a closely related field. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, and/or other practical expertise. MBA is preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and Language Skills: CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is preferred, but not required. CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) is preferred, but not required. CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) is preferred, but not required. Physical Requirements: Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Handling of average weight objects up to 15 pounds; occasional standing or walking; frequently at a keyboard, workstation, or desk. Work Environment: Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
