The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for a Digital Outreach Coordinator. The Coordinator is a leadership role within the Library's IT Department, responsible for designing, implementing, and leading AI-driven initiatives that enhance digital literacy, increase equitable access to emerging technologies, and support organizational innovation. The Coordinator also plays a key role in the review and management of grant-funded technology programs. The Coordinator supervises assigned staff and oversees training and programming that integrate artificial intelligence tools in public education, community engagement, and internal staff development. The Coordinator ensures the ethical use of AI, stays abreast of current technologies, and builds strategic partnerships to promote inclusive, forward-thinking service delivery. Local travel between library branches, senior centers, schools, or other sites is required. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events or public workshops. IT Services 400 Cathedral Street Baltimore, MD 21201 $70,338 to $91,573 On-site Full-Time Summary of Duties: Supervise and support a team delivering AI-related training and community technology programming; provide regular coaching, evaluation, and professional development. Design and lead public-facing workshops, staff training, and events focused on AI tools, digital literacy, and ethical technology use. Integrate AI into existing educational offerings and develop new programming based on community needs and emerging trends. Identify, evaluate, and recommend AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI) for instructional or operational use. Develop training materials, user guides, and ethical guidelines for AI use in community settings. Collaborate with digital literacy staff, IT, and community partners to align AI initiatives with organizational digital equity goals. Monitor and report on program effectiveness and community impact using data-driven tools and metrics. Serve as a resource for staff and stakeholders on responsible AI use, data privacy, and inclusive technology practices. Build and maintain relationships with external partners including educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and technology providers. Represent the organization at AI, digital equity, and technology-related meetings, conferences, and collaborative workgroups. Coordinate the review, submission, and reporting of technology-focused grants in partnership with Development and Finance departments. Ensure compliance with grant requirements, managing timelines, deliverables, and documentation to support successful program implementation and audits. Identify new funding opportunities that align with digital equity and AI initiatives and contribute to the writing and strategy of grant proposals. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Library and Information Science, Data Science, Education, Public Administration, or a related field. Two years supervisory experience leading program or instructional staff. Two years of professional experience in digital literacy, technology education, or digital equity programming. Experience using, teaching, or integrating AI tools into public education, workforce development, or community technology programs. Experience reviewing and managing technology-related grants, including budget tracking, reporting, and outcome measurement. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Information Technology, Library and Information Science, Data Science, Education, Public Administration, or a related field. Bilingual in English and a second language preferred. Experience in program coordination with experience managing and advising on digital equity or a similar program. Experience in education, training and development, literacy programs, volunteer management, workforce development, and/or community-based non-profits desired.
