Territory Sales Manager
Develop and implement a territory sales strategy focused on growing our rubber molding business in the industrial, defense, and aerospace markets. Identify and engage new prospects, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government contractors requiring high-performance molded rubber components. Maintain and expand existing customer relationships, providing ongoing technical support and ensuring alignment with application-specific requirements. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver custom rubber solutions that meet stringent specifications, including MIL-SPEC and aerospace-grade standards. Conduct customer visits and technical presentations to demonstrate product capabilities, performance benefits, and compliance with industry certifications. Negotiate contracts and pricing structures while balancing profitability with long-term strategic value. Stay up to date on industry trends, customer programs, and defense/aerospace procurement processes to identify and pursue new opportunities. Track and report sales pipeline activities using CRM tools and provide regular updates to management. Represent the company at trade shows and industry events relevant to industrial, defense, and aerospace markets. Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. 5+ years of territory sales experience in rubber molding or a related engineered product industry, with a focus on industrial, defense, or aerospace clients. Deep understanding of rubber molding processes (compression, transfer, injection) and material performance under extreme conditions. Familiarity with relevant quality and compliance standards (e.g., AS9100, MIL-SPEC, ITAR). Strong technical acumen and ability to discuss complex solutions with engineers and procurement professionals. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel up to 50% across the territory. Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools. Experience selling into defense contractors, aerospace OEMs, or critical infrastructure sectors. Understanding of supply chain requirements for long lifecycle programs and mission-critical applications. Existing network of contacts in the defense and aerospace ecosystem.
