F-22 Aircraft Modifications Inspector
This position is part of the team supporting F-22 aircraft modifications at Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, AK and will be responsible for performing inspection functions to assure compliance with applicable aircraft workbook specifications, engineering drawings and technical data, and approve or reject work accomplished by team members. Additional responsibilities/requirements include but are not limited to: Responsible for inspecting F-22 Fighter structures, assemblies, systems and components. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags and general notes. Inspect for quality, completeness and proper function. Perform work book reviews for completeness, accuracy and ensure work performed by technicians conforms to requirements. Perform audits and report results to management. Required to effectively interact with engineering, production, customers and/or their representatives. Complete, maintain and disposition required records of all inspections and findings. Must be able to work any shift, including scheduled weekend shifts. Basic Qualifications: Have a minimum USAF 7-Level skill rating or USMC Level 4 MATMEP rating. (or equivalent experience). (2) years QA inspector experience (or equivalent) in an aircraft maintenance environment. (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience focusing on electronics (E&E) or avionics systems on 5th generation fighter aircraft. Must have experience in inspection of Aerospace Ground Equipment AGE/GSE; Hazardous Waste Management programs; Tool & FOD industry standards; equipment calibration procedures. Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions. Ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits. Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations. Desired Skills: F-22 Electronics (E&E)/Avionics system inspection, operation and troubleshooting experience. Understanding of DCMA Instruction 8210.1C associated in aircraft ground operations and maintenance procedures. Experience in conducting and recording Process Compliance Surveillance results in the Audit Management System (AMS)-9000 database. Knowledge of and experience with Consolidated Ground Operations (CGOP) procedures/practices/inspections.
