Field Site EHS

The Field Site EHS is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive environmental safety & health program at a project site location in Spring, Texas. The Field Site EHS will provide the project management team with guidance on environmental, health, safety, and security matters and help ensure the project site fulfills customer, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. This person will work to identify, anticipate, and assess hazards, and implement project-specific and Company EHS&S Policies and Procedures and management systems to maintain regulatory compliance and reduce the impact of incidents and losses, including worker's compensation costs. This position is responsible for coordinating overall EHS&S with site contractor EHS&S personnel. Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of daily adherence to environmental, health, safety, and security policies and procedures. Facilitate/participate in Serious Incident Review (SIR) and Incident Investigations and Root-Cause Analysis of all incidents as appropriate; coordinating and participating (as required) in the investigation and case management of accidents and near misses, per B&W policy and/or customer and regulatory requirements. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of project-based EHS&S professionals. Provide supervision, training, and coaching to operational leaders and site EHS professionals to ensure technical competence and development within the region and during project execution. Lead/monitor and communicate project performance management metrics weekly/monthly focused on analyzing and communicating both leading and lagging indicator trends. Provide technical oversight and development of Project Specific Safety Action and Emergency Response Plans, Hazard Assessments and Mitigation Plans. Conduct EHS audits, tracking trends within an internal database in accordance with B&W policy. Act as Company representative during customer/third party facing presentations, meetings, and during investigations. Ensuring consistent expectations are delivered throughout the organization. Facilitate/Lead regulatory inspections. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. 10+ years of proven and progressive EHS&S experience performing and managing EHS&S Program implementation within the EPC environment and heavy industrial construction industry. Any of the following certifications is a plus: CHST, CSP, CHMM. Competent in federal, state, and local occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management software. Effective communication, influencing, and coaching skills with individuals at all levels. Willingness and ability to provide 24X7 on call support for emergencies. Knowledge of union craft environment is a plus. Established client relationships within the utility, industrial, and oil and gas market sectors is a plus. Ability to successfully work both in team environment and independently, with minimum supervision, under the guidance of the Project Manager and Director of Corporate EHS&S.
