Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator
The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator 3 functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the College of Dentistry Dental Faculty Practice to provide patient focused customer service and clerical support. Responsible for scheduling appointments with patients; taking incoming patient and doctors calls; triaging emergency patient calls; checking and printing schedules; refilling cancellation appointments and assuring the schedule is full; rescheduling patients due to absence of provider; scheduling interpreter as needed; coordination of check out process for over 100 patients per day including distribution and tracking of parking passes and accuracy of coordinated care; fulfills records requests; works part of a team to disseminate information to care team. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.
5 p.m. Compensation: $18.37 - $23.99/hour based on experience Position Requirements: This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening. Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks. Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without accommodation. Required Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED; 2 years of relevant experience. Desired Education/Experience: Four - six years of experience in a dental setting providing customer service. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practice highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records, carry out detail but basic written or oral instructions, cooperate with co-workers, and knowledge of customer services skills with the ability to apply them including the ability to answer routine inquiries and resolve complaints from patients, doctors, and staff.
