Applications Database Analyst
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Applications Database Analyst to support our customer, USPS and their Logistics Tech Services Group. This position is fully remote. Responsibilities include: analyzing and translating business requirements into efficient database designs, creating conceptual, logical, and physical database models, utilizing common database design patterns, utilizing data integration techniques, utilizing normalization principles, implementing indexing techniques, using data security best practices, designing scalable and performant databases, and collaborating with stakeholders. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of application database analysis experience, proficiency in database management systems, knowledge of data modeling concepts, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, strong command of SQL, familiarity with database administration tasks, and effective communication skills. Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC practices, DevSecOps, secure coding practices, cloud architecture, business process re-engineering principles, change management, and application lifecycle management is also required. The position requires 5+ years of experience in designing large and complex IT solutions in large organizations and the ability to maintain a USPS Public Trust clearance.
