Contract Tool Maker Position

We have an outstanding contract position for a Tool Maker to join a leading company located in the Rochester, NY surrounding area. Pay Rate: $30 - $34. US Citizenship is required. Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assembly & Integration team member. This role involves fabricating, building, handling, repairing, and integrating complex parts, assemblies, and machines for engineering prototypes, unique products, or low-volume manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating various Airborne systems and components, ensuring they function seamlessly together to meet rigorous industry standards and specifications. In this role, the candidate will be collaborating with engineers to design, develop, fabricate, repair, and integrate complex, high-value parts and assemblies in a low-volume setting. It requires the use of overhead cranes, equipment, and rigging best practices. Additionally, it includes verifying product quality according to control procedures. Responsibilities: Tool Maker with machine-building experience. Perform work in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment. Must be able to read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to work with very fragile and precise assemblies. Speaks clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups. Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions. Demonstrates appropriate computer knowledge. Understands and adheres to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices. Must be able to perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment. Basic Hiring Criteria: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be willing to submit to a background investigation, as a government security clearance might be required for this position. Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, and some travel. Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
