Swope Health is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director to provide the strategic leadership necessary to build, sustain and grow the Swope Health Foundation. The Executive Director reports directly to the CEO and provides operational leadership for the Swope Health Foundation including asset development, fundraising, and philanthropy. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader who will increase the organization's visibility, securing philanthropic support, and cultivating relationships with stakeholders and the broader community. Primary Functions: Manage the Foundation's financial resources to develop budgets aligned with operating and strategic plans. Develops and implements operational strategies, plans, goals, and tactics that achieved expected financial, service, productivity and related outcomes measures for assigned departments. Represent the Foundation in the community and among key stakeholders to advance and communicate the Foundation's mission. Act as the key media representative and spokesperson at events and on projects regarding the SHS Foundation to enhance the visibility of SHS and the Foundation's efforts. Monitors and communicates Patient Satisfaction Measurements and Analytics. Translates key concepts of service excellence and patient satisfaction into actionable programs and quality metrics that can be standardized across Swope Health. Fosters and ensures positive, collaborative relationships with local communities leaders, resources, regulators, funders, and related constituents. Leads organization's web site development including updates, expansion and oversight. Coordinates, creates, monitors, evaluates and updates advertising locally and regionally through print, radio, TV, social media, online media and other venues. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with elected officials, their staff members, and other advocacy groups to ensure Swope Health is properly represented in legislative activities. This includes formulating Swope Health's annual advocacy platform and key messages. Participating in legislative days at the state and federal level and attending the annual NACHC Government Policy conference. Serve as the primary advocate for Swope Health, guiding any and all legislative effort conducted on behalf of Swope Health. Education/Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, strategic communication, executive communication, employee communication and public/media relations. Minimum of 5 year experience in fund development, and legislative affairs. Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience. Excellent presentation skills. Strong analytical skills. Passion for patients, community partners and community health. About Swope Health Services: For 56 years, the mission of Swope Health has been to improve the health and wellness of the community by delivering accessible, quality, comprehensive patient care to all. Founded in 1969 by E. Frank Ellis, Swope Health opened as "Model Cities Health Corporation" in the basement of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church with 20 associates and a $100,000 budget to serve 2,000 patients a year. Since then, Swope has expanded its size, scope, and service offerings to include behavioral and dental care, services for the unhoused, mobile services and school-based clinics, and the PACE KC Adult Wellness Center.
