Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic ECT Charge Nurse (RN). The ECT Charge Nurse (RN) delivers quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders. The ECT Charge Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The ECT Charge Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. Essential Job Functions: Establishes nursing treatment plan within 8 hours of admission including problem identification and interventions. Conducts ad hoc treatment team as needed; monitors treatment plans for completion and accuracy. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Possesses current Louisiana registered nurse license. BSN preferred. ACLS required. Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred. Schedule: Hours determined by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) according to the needs of the facility.
