Applications Database Analyst
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Applications Database Analyst to support our customer, USPS and their Logistics Tech Services Group. This position is fully remote. Responsibilities include: Business Requirements: Analyze and translate business requirements into efficient database designs. Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical database models. Database Design Patterns: Utilize common database design patterns. Data Integration: Utilize common data integration techniques to consolidate data. Normalization Techniques: Utilize normalization principles to reduce redundancy. Indexing Strategies: Implement indexing techniques to optimize query performance. Database Security: Use data security best practices to protect sensitive information. Scalability and Performance: Design databases that can scale to handle increasing workloads. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and team members. Qualifications: Bachelors with 5-8 years of experience in application database analysis. Proficiency in database management systems, data modeling, problem-solving, analytical skills, SQL proficiency, database administration, and communication skills. Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC practices, DevSecOps, secure coding practices, cloud architecture, business process re-engineering, change management, and application lifecycle management. Required experience level includes 5+ years in designing large IT solutions. Educational Requirements: Degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Preferred.
