Mission Technical Expert
Noblis ESI is seeking a Mission Technical Expert to support our client on-site in Chantilly, VA. Job responsibilities include: Performing systems engineering of interrelated systems acquisitions, specifically focusing on cloud services, software services platforms, DevSecOps, data centricity and management, MBSE, and enterprise governance across organizational and system boundaries. Engaging with national and tactical communities to collaboratively design, document, validate, and deliver architectures, systems, and innovative ground capabilities in support of the national space architecture. Supporting the Tech Director in portfolio management, mission threads, architecture, interoperability, cross-program strategies, and synchronized deliverables. Participating in architectural forums and architecture development efforts. Leading Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and review process boards, including but not limited to Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), System Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs). Supporting the Senior Leadership Team in multiple areas, including systems, mission, and enterprise engineering; program management; acquisition support; analytic support; technical analysis; user requirement management/development; architecture; and customer outreach and support. Drafting, editing, and writing reports, correspondence, and briefs. Keeping track of important actions and milestones for executives. Required qualifications include: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph. US Citizenship is required. Bachelor degree with 12+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, OR Associate degree with 14+ years of experience OR High school diploma with 16+ years of experience. Experience with National Overhead systems. Desired qualifications include: Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Domain knowledge and expertise in systems engineering of interrelated systems acquisitions valued at over $50M. Experience working on space and ground programs from architecture-definition documentation (ADD/CONOPS) through requirements derivation and allocation, performance metric generation and assessment, test case development, and requirement closure tracing. Professional certifications in Systems Engineering (such as DAWIA, INCOSE, MBSE such as OCSMP SysML Model Builder Intermediate), Agile, or PMP. Domain knowledge and expertise in systems engineering of multiple interrelated satellite ground system acquisitions. Strong Systems Engineering discipline with experience in risk management, requirements management, configuration management, schedule management, or testing. Understanding of how system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle).
