Southeastern Louisiana University's Sims Memorial Library invites applications for Library Specialist 3. This position reports to and is supervised by the Circulation Library Specialist Supervisor. The position is responsible for handling all aspects of course reserves, library carrels, and handling daily overdue and billing notices. This position also assists in all areas of Circulation Department functions. The Circulation Department is a primary service point in the Library and is expected to respond to patron needs in a friendly and respectful manner in order to meet the service goals of the Library and the University. Current Salary Rate: $15.76/hour Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in clerical work in a library setting. Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience. Notes: Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments. Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
