Painter - 2nd Shift

Operates a spray painter to apply industrial paint finishes to metal products. Responsibilities Starts paint booth and spray equipment to produce first piece part. Performs inspection of piece part to assure part is made to specification. Makes adjustments as needed to make piece parts conform to paint specifications. Changes process parameters as needed and makes adjustments to painting equipment to assure parts conform to print specifications. Loads and unloads piece parts from fixtures during production run and performs periodic inspections including wet and dry film thickness measurements. Perform necessary paperwork (labor tickets, inspection sheets, etc) Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time. Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space. Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements. Responsible for safety and quality throughout production Responsible for notifying a Production Lead or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained. Reports all production waste/issues to Production Lead or Supervisor Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager Follows all company policies and procedures.
