Family Nurse Practitioner-School And Clinic Based

We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a Family Nurse Practitioner-School and Clinic Based (Waynesville School district/Crocker Clinic). The role will be a five-day, week-long position, with no designated administrative day, working four days at Waynesville School district and one day at Crocker Clinic. This is a mobile, community-based position where the NP works directly in school buildings, addressing students' medical needs. They partner with the school district, providing student-focused, on-site care. On Fridays, they work in the Crocker Clinic, providing access to a broader patient population. The role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, and team members are encouraged to participate in volunteer opportunities. The ideal candidate should be positive, outgoing, and engaging, promoting a visible presence within the school and community. COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. Ensures access to timely, high-quality care in a school-based and clinic setting with a focus on education and preventative health. Adheres to COMC's policies and procedures, including timely closure of medical records, quality assurance program and other areas of priority as identified by leadership, funding agencies and/or COMC's Board of Directors. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides patient examinations, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of selected illnesses under joint protocols adopted by nurse practitioner and collaborating physician. Focus on promotion of health and patient education. Must be aware of and comply with required services and data, according to the Health Care Plan and Quality Assurance Plan of Central Ozarks Medical Center. Gather adequate historical data and ensure patient comfort, flow and confidentiality. Timely maintenance and closure of patient medical record, per health center policy. Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and provides information or relays messages to patients and medical staff as necessary and in compliance with HIPAA. Make referral to other health professionals and agencies when indicated. Prepare exam rooms and instruments for patient care, which may include cleaning rooms and stocking supplies. Actively participates in school programs and activities and builds positive working relationships with school staff, students, and families. Provides access at designated school clinics and COMC clinic, as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements

Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Missouri and be licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Family Nurse Practitioner. Education and/or experience: Requires a minimum of a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN). Other Skills and Abilities

Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 35 pounds of weight. To fulfill the responsibility of the position, travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri driver's license and availability of a motor vehicle.
