Eaglecrest Ski Area - Alaska's Best Kept Secret is Hiring!
We are looking for qualified individuals to fill our Eaglecrest Rental Technician positions for the up-coming winter season. The CBJ Assembly has requested a standard salary review for Eaglecrest positions. Final salaries will be confirmed following approval by the Eaglecrest Board and the CBJ Assembly. We are looking for outgoing customer service-oriented people that enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The benefits of joining our team include working in a beautiful location helping new users fall in love with skiing and snowboarding. You will be assisting customers through the process of getting fitted into the proper equipment. Your regular customers will be a diverse range of Juneau residents of all ages and demographics. Mid-week days you will be predominately working with school age students coming for group lessons. You will receive discounts in the Eaglecrest Retail Shop, Cafeteria and on Ski and Snowboard Lessons. You will be working in the Porcupine Lodge Rental Shop predominately working Wednesday through Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Weekends and holidays are mandatory. You will have the possibility to work overtime during holiday weeks. Typical Responsibilities
In this fast-paced environment you will be required to provide exceptional customer service while assisting users in proper boot fitting, selecting proper size ski or snowboard equipment. Utilizing the point-of-sale system you will verify customer information on their rental contract that will allow you to performing calculations on proper DIN setting based on the guests' abilities and size. Training will include certification for adjusting multiple styles and brands of bindings. Throughout the day, you will be performing maintenance of the equipment including testing of bindings, waxing of skis and snowboards. At the end of the day, you will be scanning the equipment back into the inventory using our point-of-sale system and properly placing them back into the storage areas after being disinfected and inspected for damage. Any gear with damage will be properly documented and sent for servicing or will be removed from use. Minimum Qualifications
Education: None Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in adjusting rental ski bindings as well as waxing of rental equipment. Other: Continued employment is dependent upon passing an annual binding certification exam. Must be 18 years old at the time of appointment. Supplemental Information
