Job Title: Student Engagement And Career Coordinator

The Student Engagement And Career Coordinator (SECC) plays a vital role in supporting BAS undergraduate students throughout their academic and professional journeys. This position is responsible for managing and refining student-facing processes that support professional development, internship achievement, and post-graduate readiness. As the BAS undergraduate internship coordinator, the SECC promotes internship opportunities and supports the department's transition toward requiring internships for all BAS students. A key focus of this role is building meaningful relationships with students and cultivating a sense of belonging within the department. Through one-on-one coaching, career programming, targeted outreach, and community building events, the SECC helps students feel connected to the BAS community and supports their progress toward professional goals. They also help connect students with faculty when more advanced, technical guidance is needed. In addition to direct student support, the SECC tracks and reports on key student outcomes like internship participation, advising touchpoints, and engagement in career activities. By fostering a high-touch, data-informed approach to engagement, the SECC contributes meaningfully to both student outcomes and departmental growth.
