Cambridge, US | full time | Job ID: 9363 We are seeking Senior Manager / Manager to join our team based in Cambridge, MA, prefer US East Coast. Competitive Strategy aims to identify, assess, and monitor competitive landscapes to enable BioNTech's cross-functional teams and Senior Management to understand the evolutions of the external environment. As a part of the Competitive Strategy team, you will proactively manage competitive landscape change and opportunities. This role requires strong scientific judgment, creativity and know-how on navigating through uncharted and challenging environments to deliver highly valuable insight to BioNTech. It requires strong collaborative spirits to work with key stakeholders. Responsibilities: Analyze, interpret, and summarize preclinical/clinical study data, scientific literature, and other technical information. Write deep-dive reports with the highest quality in a concise manner for internal stakeholders. Provide timely updates on competitive landscape analyses and competitor profiles for BioNTech's therapeutic areas of focus and deliver accurate and actionable updates to key stakeholders (e.g., key readouts, timelines, upcoming catalysts). Collaborate with internal stakeholders in transparent manners including Clinical Development, Research, Commercial, External Innovations, Investor Relations, Business Development, etc. to define key strategic questions and support competitive intelligence needs. Communicate context, insights, and objective analysis of competitive information to R&D Program Teams and Senior Leadership throughout the organization to support decision making. Maintain and evolve existing processes for gathering, summarizing, and distributing competitive intelligence insights relevant to BioNTech's pipeline. Work in a highly cross-functional manner and manage changing priorities across key stakeholders. Attend and lead CI efforts at major conferences, including pre- and post- conference analyses of key abstracts, publications, and presentations to provide insights on emerging scientific and clinical data. Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience in competitive intelligence, sell-side or buy-side equity research or in healthcare consulting roles. Strong passion towards science, especially oncology, immunology and infectious disease. Impeccable integrity, work ethic and commitment. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Strong data-searching and analyzing skills. Be able to synthesize large amounts of data and structure findings/thoughts/ideas into a tangible recommendation to management. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment; flexible, responsive and self-starter with the ability to act independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Organized, detailed-oriented personality with the ability to multi-task. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
