This position reports to: Engineering Director In this role, you will work within the Electrification Solutions Group to manage the engineering and support services for the integration of electrical equipment into E-Houses. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Houston, TX or Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for: Acting as a technical lead and approving design deliverables. Works with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeks customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. Maintaining close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve issues of mutual concern and to seek opportunities for additional business. Ensuring timely contract completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return Planning, monitoring, coordinating and executing complex engineering tasks including the technical and quality targets established by ABB, sub supplying vendors and the customer. Develop and managing an engineering project plan, design reviews and design approvals between ABB, sub supplying vendors, subcontractors, and the customer. Develop status reports and modify plans or schedules, as necessary, to ensure contract parameters are met. Monitoring the performance of subcontractors to ensure they satisfactorily fulfill their commercial and technical supply commitments. Supervise, plan, and actively participate in the Factory Acceptance Test and Integrated Factory Acceptance Test with customer and/or other ABB units. Identify and pursue the resolution of problem areas likely to hinder the progress of work or payment of work completed to optimize the successful completion of and payment for project work. Qualifications for the role: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 5 years relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering. Knowledge of medium and/or low voltage switchgear equipment, protections, control, and automations, and the application of such equipment in fully integrated Power Distribution Centers. Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, and PIP standards. Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, and other codes as applicable to power distribution equipment. Will offer sponsorship.
