Maintenance Helper/Laborer
The Maintenance Helper/Laborer assists the Maintenance Technician and the Property Manager with special projects that may require temporary help. Maintains the building, grounds and outbuildings in a clean and orderly manner. Essential Functions
Responsible for the timely completion of all duties assigned. Cleans hallways, floors, bathroom, laundry rooms, common areas. Assists as needed with make-ready process of vacant apartments which may include painting, removing linoleum or carpet, replacing window coverings, and cleaning units. Assists with grounds works if assigned, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintain landscaping through mowing lawn and/or snow removal, and spray/pull weeds. Assist in minor carpentry and repair work if requested. Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the property grounds if requested. Responsible for alerting Community Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur. Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors and fellow employees. Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines. Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical and consistent manner. Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Responds to emergencies or after-hours calls on occasion. Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined.
