Internal Auditor
The Internal Auditor position in the City of Tucson's City Manager's Office performs audits of the organization's financial and information systems, assisting in assessing compliance with applicable standards and guidelines and sufficiency of internal controls. Work is performed under the supervision of the Senior Internal Auditor. This position does not supervise. Duties and Responsibilities Examines the city's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency. Examines the city's information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements. Reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness. Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis. Identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures. Performs all other duties and tasks assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Required) One (1) year of relevant experience Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
