Because when advertising is done right, it benefits everyone. Ads ML Experimentation team is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer who will help drive innovation. This is a hands-on role for developing & supporting product features. This role requires partnering with cross-functional teams to effectively coordinate the complex interdependencies inherent in application development. A successful candidate has strong technical skills and is eager to create intuitive user experiences; they have a keen eye for the details that surprise and delight our customers. While understanding our product features, you will perform rigorous analysis, measure performance and make data-driven decisions. Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in web application development with an in-depth understanding of data structures and algorithms. Building and deploying Machine Learning models to production using data processing tools including Spark. Working on A/B Testing infrastructure and/or methodologies using experience with multi-variate experimentation, and metrics generation/measurement. Proficiency in computer languages, including Python, Java, and Scala, to support Machine Learning components. Familiarity with causal machine learning tools and technologies Using database languages (SQL and NoSQL) to build applications. Using alerting and observability tools, including DataDog or Splunk, to monitor systems in production. Optimizing system performance using data structures and algorithms. Experience with software development using one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Rust, GoLang, Python. Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle. Skilled at operating in a cross-functional organization. Familiarity with simulation tools and technologies Ability to condense complex concepts and analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action. Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field. 10+ years of industry experience building scalable applications. Curious business attitude with a proven ability to seek projects with a sense of ownership. Excellent communication, social and presentation skills. Desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. Prior experience with advanced statistical and causal inference is a huge plus. Experience collaborating with UX designers to prototype the user experience during the design phase. Prior experience in building highly performative Experimentation systems is a huge plus. Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $386,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
