Keene State College invites applications for the Coordinator, Support Programs. To provide support, mentoring, advocacy, outreach, referral sources, and programming to enhance the academic and personal development of all students. This is a one-year, benefitted, term position starting on or after August 18, 2025. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Community and Belonging, the coordinator will work to build relationships and connect students to community partners in the Keene and Monadnock region when necessary to foster a greater sense of belonging. Additional responsibilities include working to support admissions efforts, new student orientation, First Year Experience activities, and campus-wide retention programs. They will also work collaboratively with others across the campus community to address the needs of students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student development, support, advocacy, retention, and persistence with an understanding of how students' individual needs, growth, and identities could have an impact on their experience. Duties/Responsibilities 60% Direct Student Support Provide support to students from a wide range of backgrounds by listening, generating solutions together, and providing referrals to resources Assist with new student orientation and First Year Experience Seminar Provide advocacy, outreach, and referral sources to all students Provide mentoring to all students Coordinate and facilitate the pre-Welcome Days annual leadership scholar's Leadership Retreat Coordinate and manage Mentorship Program for students who are a part of the Leadership Program Accept reports from students about concerns related to student experiences on and off campus and work with campus partners to develop a plan for next steps if necessary. 30% Co-Curricular Programs Coordinates and executes co-curricular programming that supports students' success through community-building activities, leadership development, community service and engagement. Plans, implements, and evaluates co-curricular programs that promote critical consciousness, awareness of others, and a sense of belonging for all students. Collaborate with Student Engagement and Student Involvement teams to maximize opportunities for student success. Serve as the advisor to students in planning, implementing, and evaluating co-curricular programs and events. Collaborate with Admissions to assist in outreach initiatives for potential students. 10% Campus Committees Serve on campus committees and projects/task forces to represent the interests of students such as, but not limited to CARES, Student Development Collaborative, and Incident Coordination Team. Work collaboratively with community people, organizations, and area agencies on co-curricular programs that promote critical consciousness, and a sense of belonging for all. Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience. Other Requirements: Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations. Demonstrated interest in working with students. Demonstrated effective communication, organizational, planning, analytic, and problem resolution abilities. Proficient in the use of personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree (Higher Ed Administration) and two years of related experience. Experience working with students in a college or university setting.
