Comprehensive Ophthalmologist - Hospitalist Position
The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is seeking applicants for a full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist with ophthalmic hospitalist duties at the assistant professor level or higher. Focus will be on inpatient and emergency department ophthalmologic care, teaching, limited clinical practice including ocular surgery (e.g. cataracts), and opportunities for research. This role will require staffing of surgeries generated from clinic as well as shared call coverage for ocular trauma, including ruptured globes. Duties will include ophthalmic urgent care service, inpatient bedside procedures and imaging, and didactic and clinical training of residents. The position will have clinical support from a full complement of ophthalmology fellowship trained subspecialist colleagues. Required Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required.
