Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function. Plans direct, and reviews Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices to ensure company-wide compliance. Oversees and drives benefits administration for the organization with the oversight of the Benefits Committee. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Educates/advises the management team with regards to company policies and procedures, including employee relations issues, corrective action process, conduct, and the termination process. Oversees and facilitates peer-to-peer and employee-manager discussion mediations. Promotes and practices an open-door policy to encourage management and employees to discuss employee relations issues and grievances. Responsible for the oversight of the administration of benefit leave programs to include FMLA/IFMLA, Personal, Military Leaves of Absences, Short/Long Term Disabilities, and Workers' Compensation. Administers and maintains the company's benefit programs to include coordinating with vendors and the broker to secure medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary benefits. Assists and ensure the Benefits Committee members have communicated changes in policies, plans and keeps the team up to date on benefits compliance initiatives to ensure filings are completed on time to carriers and respective government agencies. Reviews plan changes annually along with the Benefits Committee to ensure cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Drives annual Benefits Open Enrollment efforts in collaboration with Sr. Director, HR. Develops, recommends, updates, and implements policies and procedures; prepares and maintains a handbook on policies and procedures. Oversees the development and maintenance of job descriptions in collaboration with HR Generalist/Talent Acquisition to ensure positions are placed in the FLSA categories and adhere to varying state and federal labor laws. Oversees the responses to state agencies regarding all unemployment claims; represents the organization at agency hearings and investigations as appropriate. Works directly with management to evaluate and coordinate annual HR compliance training for employees and new leader development. Oversees and recommends new efforts for employer-based programs, including the company Wellness Program. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
