School and University Partnerships (PM) Job Summary:

The School/University Partnership Office (SUPO) at Saginaw Valley State University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to support outreach and marketing efforts specifically for the charter public schools authorized by SVSU. This position will focus on raising awareness of SVSU's charter school portfolio, engaging with current and prospective students and families, and strengthening partnerships through strategic communication, recruitment event support, and digital and print marketing initiatives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Assistant Director for Cardinal Partnerships and SVSU Admissions team to execute a comprehensive recruitment and outreach plan Represent SVSU and Cardinal Partnerships at academy-based recruitment events, community engagement activities, and student showcase events across Michigan. Work directly with academy leaders, counselors, and families to communicate the value and unique offerings of SVSU-authorized schools, including scholarship opportunities and post-secondary partnerships. Support the planning and implementation of Cardinal Partnership-branded events, including open houses, student celebrations, and leadership conferences. Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials (flyers, brochures, social media graphics, and video content) to be used by SVSU-authorized academies. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at each academy, including principals, communications coordinators, and student services teams. Support consistent and professional communication to promote visibility of SVSU and SUPO's mission through newsletters, academy websites, social media, and printed collateral. Maintain records of outreach efforts and produce reports summarizing activities, impact, and areas for growth. Serve as a liaison between SUPO and SVSU's Marketing, Communications, and Admissions departments to ensure alignment and maximize reach. Assist with organizing SUPO's student and family engagement efforts, ensuring clear messaging and inclusive representation across the portfolio. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the SVSU-authorized charter school portfolio, including geographic locations, program strengths, and enrollment needs. Participate in SVSU and SUPO-related events and trainings as requested. Stay up to date with state and regional education trends that impact school choice and charter school enrollment. General supervision is received from the SUPO Director of Operations and receives project guidance from relevant leadership staff. Supervision Exercised:

Functional supervision is exercised over student employees or volunteers at events or for special projects. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation Experience interacting with diverse families, school staff, and community groups Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to large and small groups Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with social media and digital marketing tools Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to dynamic environments Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends Ability to travel statewide and transport marketing materials or display equipment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly. Experience and ability to positively interact with a diverse campus community. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in school communications, K-12 outreach, or college admissions Familiarity with charter schools or K-12 education systems in Michigan Direct knowledge of SVSU or its authorized charter academies Working Conditions: Duties require automobile travel which includes exposure to varying weather conditions.
