Locations: Sugarland, TX Time Type: Full Time Job Requisition ID: R2991 Summary Responsible for preparing documents by sorting and batching, indexing data according to document type, data-entry and scanning the various types of documents into the optical system. Proofs the scanned documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Categorizes, files and retrieves required paper documents from the paper vault. 2. Completes quality checks of various documents stored within the optical system. 3. Provides constant communication with other departments within TDECU and ensures that all scanned documents are available in a timely manner. 4. Stays abreast of changes within the credit union services and procedures. 5. Retrieves, organizes, and disburses all departmental mail. 6. Operates an individual scanner work station and is responsible for document sorting, batching, indexing, scanning, storing, and/or proofing. 7. Sets up and adjusts scanning machines to regulate speed, focus, and number of copies. 8. Produces daily and weekly reports of all scanned documents. 9. Strong attention to detail. 10. Data-entry experience and light typing skills. 11. Maintenance, set-up, or repair of equipment. 12. Troubleshoots and makes adjustments to equipment when necessary. 13. Responsible for preparing, scanning, and quality checking of documents/images being converted to electronic/digital format. 14. Must possess the ability to multi-task and be able to work independently. 15. Assists internal departments via e-mail for document uploads into optical system. Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required Experience: Six months job related or similar experience including familiarity with operation of office and scanning machines preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong working knowledge of relevant software including Microsoft Office. Must have extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with creating and managing large data sets. Ability to handle and maintain confidential information in a sensitive manner. Knowledge in document scanning and file sorting preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Skill and ability to use and operate an adding machine, computer, fax machine, phone system and copier. Excellent verbal communication skills, good written communication and organizational skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to perform essential position functions. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
