Student Success Center Coordinator
Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000/Annually Compensation Type: Exempt Employment Type: Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Grade: Academic Administration Position Summary The Student Success Center Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing student retention, engagement, and academic achievement. This position oversees the daily operations of the Student Success Center, including supervision and development of Peer Tutors, Peer Mentors, and Transfer Student Ambassadors. The Coordinator will foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports student learning, leadership development, and successful transitions throughout the college experience. Duties & Responsibilities Manage the operations and services of the Student Success Center. Coordinate scheduling, training, and performance oversight of peer tutors, peer mentors, and transfer student ambassadors. Design and implement programs and workshops to support academic skills, peer connections, and transfer student integration. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate a team of peer educators and student ambassadors. Facilitate ongoing professional development for student leaders in tutoring, mentoring, and student engagement best practices. Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and student affairs staff to identify students who may benefit from additional support. Serve as a resource and advocate for students navigating academic challenges, transitions, or transfer processes. Monitor utilization of services, collect feedback, and assess program effectiveness. Maintain accurate records and generate regular reports on student success initiatives and outcomes. Promote a culture of inclusion, belonging, and academic excellence. Organize events and outreach efforts that highlight available student success services, especially for first-generation, underrepresented, and transfer students. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree. 1 year experience in student support services, student leadership, or academic support initiatives. 1 year of experience working at the college level. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, or related field. 2 years professional working experience at the college level. Experience working with Ellucian Banner Student Module and/or Workday. Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong data and records management skills. Strong client relations skills. Critical computer skills and knowledge and attention to detail for management of data input and data integrity. Physical Demands Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of a computer; Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds; Sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time Work Environment Work is normally performed in a typical office environment. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
